Council Urged To Re-Consider Decision On Our Lady’s Hospital Site

Clare County Council is being called on to reconsider it’s decision not to purchase the former Our Lady’s Hospital Site.

The 16-acre site once again failed to sell at auction yesterday, with a guide price of €800,000.

A number of local councillors have urged the local authority to buy it, but the CEO Pat Dowling poured cold water on the proposal, saying a feasibility study shows it’s financially prohibitive.
