Council Urged To Demand Evidence Of Waste Disposal From Clare Homeowners

Clare County Council is being called on to visit every residential area in the county and demand evidence of proper waste disposal.

Independent Councillor Gerry Flynn is to bring a motion before the local authority this afternoon, calling for a more proactive approach to tackling illegal dumping.

It follows an announcement by the Government that it’s investing €2million to target the problem by introducing drones, CCTV and undercover surveillance, with over 39,400 of that going to projects in Clare.
