Council Renews Dangerous Jellyfish Warning

Clare County Council has issued a fresh alert in relation to the deadly Portuguese Man O'War.

The jellyfish-like species have become a common sight on the country's beaches in recent weeks, and this year's infestation is the worst in a century.

There are already reports that they have been spotted in Lahinch and Kilkee, and surfers, swimmers and walkers are all being urged to be vigilant as their venemous stings can caust anaphylactic shock or seizures.
