Council Rejects Planning Permission For ALDI In Shannon

Clare County Council has rejected planning permission for ALDI to construct an outlet in Shannon.

The German supermarket giant submitted an application in July for a 1,700 square metre, single storey shop in Tullyvarraga.

Two objections – including one submitted on behalf of the Skycourt Shopping Centre in Shannon – said the proposed development would damage the town centre, although it’s not yet known why exactly why Council planners rejected the suggestion.
