Clare County Council is to spend 20,000 euro to crack down on dumping at a litter blackspot in Ennis.
The wasteground, which connects the Rocky Road Roundabout and Kilrush Road Roundabout, was highlighted in a recent IBAL Litter League report as a problem area for the town.
Funding was recently approved by the Department of the Environment and the council is currently pricing fencing, CCTV and other measures to clamp down on dumping.
