Council Confident Government Will Give New Town The Green Light

Clare County Council has expressed confidence that a planned new town will be given the green light by Government.

The local authority is due to submit an application for a Strategic Development Zone in the North Campus at the University of Limerick, which is located in Clare, in the coming weeks.

It will facilitate a natural expansion of the campus, which will encourage educational uses, enterprise and employment opportunities and residential units.
