Clare County Council’s poor financial situation provided the backdrop to last evening’s meeting of the local authority, which saw Councillors agree to maintain Local Property Taxes at current levels.
This means Clare homeowners will continue to pay 15% more than homeowners in many other counties.
The measure was passed without a vote after it had been sought by the Council Executive.
