There are fresh calls for a historical theme park to be set up at Bunratty Castle.
Clare County Council is to write to the Shannon Group, who operate Bunratty Folk Park, asking it to investigate the possibility of constructing one beside the existing park.
It’s been brought up several times in recent years, with the now defunct Shannon Development meeting with potential investors in 2011 but a theme park failed to materialise.
