Treatment Of Farmers During COVID Pandemic “Incomprehensible”

The Cratloe-based general secretary of the ICSA says it’s incomprehensible how the farmer is being treated so badly by processors and retailers at this time of crisis.

The Irish Cattle and Sheep Farmers Assoication has warned of mass protests being held once again, unless an injection of funding is made available to their sector.

They’re calling on the EU to provide interest-free loans and additional incomes supports to help those who are just breaking even at a time when beef prices continue to prove a significant worry to farmers.
