Shannon’s Sinn Féin Councillor is urging parents to sit their children down and press the seriousness of the COVID-19 outbreak with them.
It comes as Gardaí in Shannon have issued an appeal, following multiple cases this week of children, some of whom are thought to be pre-teen, congregating in residential areas of the town overnight.
On Tuesday night, local Gardaí spent a significant amount of time chasing the children down and say they are not only breaking social distancing protocol but also taking up valuable resources.
