Parents Urged To Meet Their Children’s Needs During Virus Lockdown

Parents in Clare are being urged to ensure that their children’s educational, social and physical needs are being met during the crisis, where possible.

The closure of schools 12 days ago has seen parents struggle to keep their children entertained, while ensuring they are social distancing.

Julie Kilmartin of Kilmartin Educational Services in Ennis and Limerick says they’ve turned to technology to ensure that they can continue to teach those who were enrolled with them until the end of the school year.

Meanwhile, Clare GAA Games Developer Peter Casey has taken to social media to share videos which will teach younger children the basic hurling skills.

He says it’s important to make the most of what is a difficult situation.
