Nearly 1,000 people in Clare have closed their Pandemic Unemployment Payment claim to return to work in the past month.
Figures from the Department of Social Protection show 965 people here ceased claiming the government support since the end of January.
More than 11,000 people will receive the payment into their bank accounts this morning – still short of the peak of more than 14,500 in May of last year.
