All Masses In Clare Cancelled During COVID-19 Lockdown

The Bishop of Killaloe says the radical step of cancelling all masses had to be taken to help curb the spread of the Coronavirus and protect the most vulnerable in society.

Bishop Fintan Monahan has announced the measure is being put in place with immediate effect, following Government and Public Health advice, and will remain in place until March 29th.

Funeral and wedding services will go ahead, but the Diocese is asking that these be attended by only family and close friends, in line with Government recommendations against indoor gatherings of more than 100 guests.
