HSE Clinical Assessment Unit Opens In Shannon

A new HSE clinical assessment unit will come into operation in Clare this morning, as part of the response to the coronavirus pandemic.

The hub, at Shannon Health Centre, is one of three being launched by HSE Midwest today; with one also in Limerick City, while a third is located in Roscrea, Co. Tipperary.

The aim is to divert patients with mild symptoms away from the acute hospital system, to these units, where they can be assessed by a team of nurses, doctors and physiotherapists.
