Government Urged To Set Up Aviation Task Force To Ensure Shannon Airport Survival

The Government is being called on to set up an aviation task force to ensure the survival of Shannon Airport into the future.

A special Dáil debate over the crisis in aviation is due to take place this evening, with a particular focus on Shannon Airport expected from TD’s in the MidWest.

Aer Lingus last week announced that cabin crew based in Shannon will be laid off until the end of August, as no flights are currently operating out of the airport.
