An Ennis mother, whose daughter is living with Cystic Fibrosis, is pleading with people to listen to social distancing advice and not put lives at risk.
Martina Whelan’s 20-year-old daughter Chlíonadh was hospitalised for almost two weeks just before the pandemic broke loose, after contracting the common flu.
After seeing issues in the like of Lahinch, Kilkee and the 12 O’Clock Hills over the weekend, as well as group gatherings in the county town in recent days, Martina is now concerned that people’s complacency will cost lives.
