Clare Man Nursing In NYC Speaks Of “Trauma” Of COVID Wards

A Clare man who is working as an ICU nurse in New York City says it’s “traumatising” to see what the coronavirus is doing in hospitals over there.

Kilrush native Gerry Eustance has been living in the US since 1985 and has worked as a nurse for 23 of those years.

He usually works in the neonatal intensive care unit but has volunteered his services for the past two weeks in a COVID-only ward of Jamaica Hospital in Queens, New York.
