Clare GP Believes Masks Could Help Prevent Spread Of COVID-19

A Clare GP believes there may be sufficient evidence to suggest that wearing home-made cotton masks, could help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The World Health Organisation’s current advice is that you should only wear a mask if you’ve contracted the virus, or if you’re healthy and looking after someone with suspected or confirmed coronavirus.

But in some countries masks are mandatory and Professor Liam Glynn says there is evidence that this is effective.
