Clare Beef Plan Chair Calls For Deadlines For Farming Schemes To Be Extended

The Clare Chair of the Beef Plan Movement is calling for the deadlines for all upcoming farming schemes to be extended where possible, given the current pandemic.

Joseph Woulfe has expressed particular concern about the BEEP Scheme, which requires farmers to weigh their animals as part of the application process.

However, most don’t have scales on their own farm, meaning bringing animals to co-ops or marts or similar to use the systems there, which is not an option at this time.
