77 New COVID Deaths Confirmed Nationwide In Ireland’s Worst Day So Far

The National Public Health Emergency Team has confirmed that 77 more patients have died as a result of COVID-19 in Ireland.

It brings the country’s total death toll to 687, while this marks the biggest single daily increase in deaths since the virus outbreak began.

Nine new cases of COVID-19 have also been confirmed in Clare, which are among 687 new diagnoses nationally.

This means 15,652 cases of the virus have been recorded in the Republic of Ireland so far; 160 of those in this county.
