Clare’s Senator has described Sinn Féin’s motion of no confidence in the Government as “opportunist”.
The party is seeking support from Fianna Fáil and from opposition TDs for the vote, however Fianna Fail says it will abstain when it comes to voting in the Dail later this week.
Ennistymon Senator Martin Conway insists the Government will survive, saying a motion of no confidence is not going to get the truth for Sergeant Maurice McCabe and his family or ensure that this situation won’t arise again.
