Clare’s Senator claims people in this county are continuing to be left exposed by poor response times from ambulances.

The report on the National Ambulance Service was commissioned on the back of a 2014 HIQA review into the National Ambulance Service.

Though the report is completed, it hasn’t been released and Senator Conway claims it criticises the service’s management and outlines recommendations on where it could be improved.

He also claims there are a number of problems across the ambulance network with response times and an availability of vehicles.

The Ennistymon Senator says it’s an issue seen here in this county.

Junior Minister at the Department of Health Jim Daly confirmed the report is complete and says they will ask the HSE why it hasn’t been released – and when they intend to publish it.

He says the ambulance network is a critical service and there should be full transparency.
