Contracts Signed For Ennis South Flood Relief Scheme

Clare County Council has put pen to paper on a contract for the construction of the Ennis South Flood Relief Scheme.

Ward and Burke Construction Ltd will take the lead on the €9.7 million project, which represents the final phase of flood defence works throughout the town and includes the townlands of Clonroadmore, Ballybeg and Clareabbey.

The scheme will see flood protection installed for over 120 homes and five commercial properties in area along the Clare Road, as well as at St Flannan’s College.

Construction work is expected to begin in late April and is due to be completed by late 2021.
