Contractors have been appointed to allow for the construction of a new school building for Ennis CBS.
The school has over 650 students and staff, who have been accomodated in a mix of out-of-date buildings and prefabs in recent years.
And while €4.5 million was announced for a new school in 2015, the project has since been hit by delays in the planning process.

Those have now been overcome, and it’s now expected that construction will begin within a matter of weeks, with students hopefully moving in in a year’s time.
