Construction on a new state of the art school for North Clare is expected to get underway later this year.
The Department of Education has granted permission for the project in Ennistymon, which would see the amalgamation of three existing schools, to advance to the planning stage.
It’s the latest step in a campaign spanning over 30 years, and will see students from CBS Secondary School, Scoil Mhuire and Ennistymon Vocational Schools coming together in one facility.
