Clare’s Independent TD is expressing concern that the voluntary exit packages being offered to post offices amounts to a compulsory marching order.
Dr Michael Harty has hit out at the government for what he describes as a lack of a firm commitment on the future of Ireland’s network of post offices.
An Post has offered voluntary redundancies to 14 postmasters and postmistresses in Clare, among several nationally.
