Concerns have emerged that Clare may be a victim of it’s own success in fighting crime.
Last week the latest batch of garda recruits graduated from Templemore, but of the 181 new gardaí, none will be deployed to the Clare Garda division.
Nine additional Gardaí have been allocated to the Clare division in 2016 and 2017, though there are a number of retirements pending.
