An Ireland South MEP says she's concerned that changes to an EU directive could hurt small tourism operators in Clare.
The Package Travel Directive governs operators who sell multiple tourist offerings such as accomodation and activities or car hire.

However, if proposed changes are given the green light, then MEP Deirdre Clune fears that businesses could be held liable in the event that something goes wrong with one of the other services, even if they don't provide it.
She has vowed to fight any change.
