Concern Over Rise In Elderly Victims Of Fires

Clare Fire and Rescue Service is calling on older people in the county to ensure that they have a working fire alarm in their home.

A rise has been experienced in the number of men aged 65 or over who are victims of fires.

Tackling the problem is the main focus of Fire Safety Awareness Week and they’re urging more people in this age bracket to use smoke alarms.
