Concern Of Over-reliance On US Visitors In Irish Tourism Sector

Concern is being expressed in Clare at an over-reliance on US visitors to drive the tourism market forward.

Latest figures from the CSO show that in the first seven months of this year, there’s been a 7.8% overall jump in overseas visitors coming to Irish shores compared with the same period last year.

Visitors from North America rose by an impressive 13.5%, to account for 1.3 million of the six million journeys to Ireland in total.
