Concern Over Lack Of Support For Rural Businesses

A Kilmaley businessman has expressed fears over the future of rural businesses, if they’re not given a break to help them keep the doors open.

Laurence O’Brien, who also owns shops in Ennis, has closed one of the two stores tha the had been running in Kilmaley.

He has cited high rates bills as one of the reasons for his decision, and says shops like his, based in rural areas, should be given a reprieve in order to help them stay in business.
