Concern Data Centres Will Not Be Quick Fix Solution For Clare

An Ennis Labour Party activist is expressing concern that large scale data centres wouldn’t bring the employment benefits to Clare that are promised.

Clare County Council put out a call to landowners for sites of 50 acres or more for such developments, with local TD Joe Carey expressing confidence that one would provide hundreds of permanent jobs.

However, Labour’s Séamus Ryan says these would only be short-term jobs during the construction and the reality would be very different.
