Road Safety Authority Plays Down Clare Driving Test Concerns

The Road Safety Authority has insisted that reported figures on the pass rate for driving tests in Kilrush were incorrect.

Widespread media reports had stated that the pass rate for driving tests in the West Clare town between January and October of last year was 34%, and stated this was the lowest pass rate in Ireland.

However, on foot of a media query from Clare FM, the RSA now says that figures had been read incorrectly by another media outlet, and that this pass rate for all vehicles was in fact 59%.
