Government Called On To Intervene And Save Key Shannon Service

There are calls for urgent Government intervention to save a key service in South East Clare.

The Citizens Advice Centre in Shannon, which has operated in the area for almost 40 years, is expected to close in around seven weeks time, due to funding cuts.

The centre has three staff, who also serve as Clare Care Support workers, and it serves a number of areas including Shannon Town, Newmarket on Fergus, Cratloe, Sixmilebridge and Meelick.
