Frustration As Community Groups In Clare Struggle To Stay Going With Rising Insurance Costs

It’s claimed there’s a huge sense of frustration among community groups in Clare, who are struggling to stay afloat because of rising insurance costs.

It comes as a survey from the Public Participation Network has revealed that almost 9 in 10 such groups nationwide believe the government isn’t doing enough to tackle the issue.

Almost half say they’re at risk of closure because of the cost of their premiums, while there are some 15,000 community groups nationwide including the likes of Tidy Towns and Meals on Wheels.
