Ennis Tidy Towns Issues Plea After Spike In Discarded PPE Items

The chair of Ennis Tidy Towns is pleading with people using personal protective equipment to dispose of these items properly.

A spike has been reported in the likes of latex gloves and masks being tossed aside on roadsides and in other public areas.

Many shops are providing these items free of charge for people when they enter the store, while purchases of PPE for personal use has skyrocketed since the COVID-19 pandemic took hold.

Cormac McCarthy is encouraging people to take all necessary precautions but says we have to be mindful of the impact of carelessly discarding such items too.
