“Countless” Volunteers On Hand In Clare During COVID Pandemic

Vulnerable people across Clare who are cocooning during this pandemic are being reminded there are countless volunteers on hand to help out.

Community initiatives have been springing up around the county since the coronavirus situation took hold, with the likes of sports club members who are now at a loss focusing their efforts on helping those in need.

The Clare COVID-19 Forum, set up by Clare County Council, also has a specific working group overseeing voluntary efforts.

Many of those coming on board are being offered training by the Clare Volunteer Centre and its manager Sharon Meaney says there are plenty of opportunities available.
