Council Told “Sense Of Place” Key To Keeping Communities Alive

The Parish Priest of Sixmilebridge has told the local authority that “a sense of place” is key to keeping communities alive here.

Addressing this month’s meeting of Clare County Council, Fr Harry Bohan has spoken out about the origins of the region’s airport, as well as what he thinks is needed to support the Midwest and rural areas.

Fr Bohan has expressed concern over the large numbers leaving rural areas, saying there’s an urgent need for community centered development into the future.
