Clare’s Sinn Féin TD is calling on republicans across the county to join in their Easter Rising commemorations from the comfort of their own homes this weekend.
The party is holding its annual events in a different way this year, to remember the men and women who fought for Irish freedom on Easter weekend in 1916.
All public events to mark the occasion this year are cancelled, due to the COVID-19 restrictions in place, while Sinn Féin is now urging people to join them in remembering those who fought in private, for the first time ever.
