Community Groups And Landowners Urged To Play Their Part In Road Safety Measures

Community groups and landowners are being encouraged to play their part in ensuring the safety of motorists and other road users.

The Community Hedge Cutting Grant Scheme, which was the first of its kind to be developed in Ireland, will see €10,000 being provided towards hedgecutting and the cutting of overhanging trees during the Autumn and winter months.

Applications will be assessed, with successful applicants being provided with a grant of 50 euro per kilometre of hedgerow.
