Clare Over The Worst Of The Storm Weather But Warning Remains In Place

A low level weather alert has been issued for Clare, just hours after the passing of Storm Fionn.

Met Éireann is forecasting strong winds for the rest of today and into tomorrow in Munster Connaught and Leinster, with gusts of up to 110 kilometres per hour.

This combined with high seas presents an increased risk of flooding in coastal areas.

But Senior Engineer with Clare County Council, Tom Tiernan has said that it looks like we’re over the worst of the weather for now.
