Clare Water Disruption to last into New Year

Clare County Council is appealing for patience among local residents as water shortage look set to cause incovenience throughout the county right into the new year.

With demand for water still exceeding supply capacity on most water supplies in Clare, night time shutoffs are to continue in most parts of the county including the Ennis, Shannon, South East Clare and North Clare areas, with further loss of supply expected over the coming nights.

But the Council is looking at easing the situation to faciliate the hospitality sector this new Years eve, and to allow celebrations to continue despite the sever water problems

The Clare County Manager Tom Coughlan has appealed for patience from the public, and co-operation in conserving water and checking their land and property for leaks.
