Clare VFI – Heart And Soul Being Sucked Out Of Rural Towns And Villages

The Chair of the Clare Vintners insists that the heart and soul is being sucked out of many of our towns and villages.

Darragh McAllister is commenting in light of recent figures from teh Drinks Industry of Ireland, which show that hundreds of jobs have been lost, following to a 17% drop in the number of pub businesses since 2005.

The Vintners Federation of Ireland believes the Government is unfairly favouring the off-licence trade.
