Clare Teenager Killed In Co. Limerick Crash Named

The Ennis teenager who was killed in a road traffic accident in Co. Limerick last night has been named.
19 year old Gary Kelly was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident close to Abbeyfeale.
An 18 year old girl, who hails from Crusheen, remains in a critical condition in hospital.
The collision between a car and truck occurred on the N21 at Wards Cross on the Limerick side of Abbeyfeale at around 7:40 last evening.
The driver of the car, 19 year old Gary Kelly of Ivy Hill in Ennis, was killed and pronounced dead at the scene.
An 18 year old woman, who hails from the Crusheen area, who was a passenger in the car was critically injured and taken to Unviersity Hospital Limerick where it’s understood she remains on life support.
The driver of the truck was uninjured.
A forensic examination of the scene was carried out, and Gardaí in Newcastle West are investigating.
