Fianna Fáil have already agreed to support a minority Fine Gael Government, for at least three budgets and Clare TD Joe Carey says it remains to be seen whether that deal will hold steady.

But Deputy Carey believes there's will in both parties to make the arrangement work.

Following today's vote, Enda Kenny is expected to appoint his cabinet, and later Junior Ministers and Committee chairs.

Clare's Independent TD Dr Michael Harty has been mentioned as a possible chair of the health strategy committee.
