Clare TD Says Government’s Biggest Error On PUP Was In Communication

Clare’s Fianna Fáil TD believes the biggest error in the Pandemic Unemployment Payment controversy was in how information was communicated.

85 people may have had their Pandemic Unemployment Payment stopped because they travelled abroad, but could be entitled to it back, after a review has been carried out into all 2,500 cases where the payment was cut.

The Department of Social Protection says it will be contacting the 85 individuals directly in the coming days to verify these cases.
