A Clare Government TD believes the General Election will take place within the coming four months.
It comes as tensions mount within the coalition after Tánaiste and Labour Leader Joan Burton said she believes Ireland shouldn't go to the polls until next year.

Clarecastle Fine Gael TD Joe Carey has dismissed speculation saying the Taoiseach has stated repeatedly that the election will take place next spring.
Deputy Carey says in the meantime, its important that representatives get on with the job they've been given.
