Clare SVP Says Politicians Will Needed To Negotiate Our Way Out Of Poverty

The Clare branch of St Vincent DePaul insists we can negotiate our way out of poverty, but it will take political will.

The society has launched it’s pre-budget submission this week, outlining 35 proposals on tackling pverty, covering areas including housing, education and health.

Calls to the charity from people in need of help has doubled in the last ten years and SVP says almost 800 thousand people are now living below the poverty line in this country.
