Clare’s Senator is warning the taxpayer will have to foot the bill for the refund of water charges.
It’s after the Dail voted to accept the recommendations of the Committee on the Future Funding of Water Services, which includes the scrapping bills for domestic users.
Housing Minister Simon Coveney will now draft legislation to formally end the charging regime.
