Clare Schools To Benefit From €530,000 Grant For Tech Equipment

A total of 115 schools across Clare are to receive more than half a million euro in funding for computer equipment.

The 530,000 euro grant is being rolled out to all schools built prior to 2014, with the level of funding depending on student numbers.

It can be spent on PCs, laptops, tablets or hybrid devices, while schools can also purchase projectors and cloud based tools and software applications to support learning.

It forms part of a €30 million fund nationally being issued by the Department of Education in the coming weeks as part of the government’s Digital Strategy for Schools.
